Ferme Intégrale inaugurates its first large-scale aquaponic farm in the Drôme region.

It took 4 years and €2.5 million for Drôme-based start-up La Ferme Intégrale to climb the step-by-step ladder to its first 6,600m2 aquaponics farm. This large-scale farm was designed from the outset of the project to help feed a local area all year round. The farm was inaugurated on Thursday 7 March, in the presence of its investors, including Banque des Territoires, the main investor, Marie-Pierre Mouton, President of the Conseil Départemental de la Drôme, and Anne Heurtaux, Deputy Director of the Conseil Départemental des Territoires.

Ferme Intégrale raises €2.4m to finance its first large-scale aquaponics production unit!

In June 2023, the La Ferme Intégrale aquaponics project finalised the raising
of 2.4 million euros in seed funding to secure the expansion of its production facilities
to 6,600m2 of operating space. This first farm will serve
as a model for future franchises in other départements. The
Banque des Territoires, acting on behalf of the French government as part of France 2030,
participated in this fund-raising to support the development of the model.

La Ferme Intégrale project gets off the ground

On 25 May 2021, work began on the Integral Farm demonstrator. This large-scale aquaponic farm is being built in a peri-urban area near Romans-sur-Isère in the Drôme department. Most of the work will be carried out by local companies, and will last throughout the summer. After two years of research and experimentation, the multi-disciplinary team working on this ambitious project can't wait to get started.
