We don't let technology take over from people. We prefer a low-tech approach to production, but use technology where it can improve the quality and reliability of our products. We believe that technology should serve workers, not the other way round.
We know that urban agriculture alone cannot feed everyone. That's why we've chosen to set up close to towns and cities to create short-distance production units. We believe that access to fresh, local food is crucial to everyone's health and well-being, and we're working hard to make that possible.
We understand that setting up a farm can be a major challenge, requiring a wide range of skills. That's why we offer turnkey units for aquaponics projects, providing our customers with a reliable and functional solution to secure their production. Minimising our impact at every stage of production
Upstream
By choosing a suitable species - the pike-perch - and developing a responsible food: proteins derived from insect meal.
To get closer to a 95% closure rate for the aquaculture system.
We like to grow varieties that taste good and are adapted to our environment. So we sow our plants on site using organic or untreated seeds, mainly sourced in France.
We opted for a biomass boiler fuelled by wood from a local, sustainably managed forest.
During production
Avoid injury and stress by working at appropriate densities and using a slaughter method that complies with the law to ensure animal welfare.
To achieve the ‘zero antibiotics’ objective for fish farming by using alternative methods of disease prevention and treatment.
Capture greenhouse gases above the ponds and return them to the greenhouse to be absorbed by the plants, in order to control GHG emissions.
Do without pesticides and synthetic fertilisers thanks to regular biological control and natural organo-mineral nutrition for plants, using filtered fish faeces, without resorting to synthetic chemical fertilisers.
Downstream
Collect our rainwater and reuse it in the system.
Treat them in such a way as to reduce our organic and inorganic discharges into the wastewater network as much as possible. In this way, our wastewater will be considered to be similar to domestic water in its classification.
Recover fish farm sludge and compost our waste or co-products.
Distribute our products locally and through short distribution channels.
The result: sustainable, local production...
and aquaponics!
